Our group will be working on Act 3, Scene 4 – where Hamlet verbally attacks his mother for marrying Claudius. We’ll be exploring the TWO sides of Hamlet with TWO different actors!

Artist Bios – folks coming from LA to Philadelphia!
J. Paul Nicholas (DIRECTOR) has worked off-Broadway, in regional theatre and national tours, and on TV/film. He has won two Barrymore Awards and received his MFA from The Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University. Directing credits include The Merry Wives of Windsor (The Treehouse Theatre), Hamlet and The Tempest (M.I.T. Shakespeare), and several other regional shows. He’s also a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab. Website.
Cassandra Alexander (DRAMATURG) is a Philadelphia-based actor, teaching artist, theatre maker, and arts administrator. She holds degrees in Theatre & Drama and Arts Management from Indiana University, although her love of classical theatre blossomed while studying abroad at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. She also works as the Development Officer/Artistic Assistant at Delaware Shakespeare, and has worked as text coach there on Macbeth, as well as co-adapting versions of The Winter’s Tale and Cymbeline.
Charlotte Northeast (HAMLET) is an actor, director, writer, coach and producer who trained with Circle in the Square and has won several acting awards. She also was part of the team that adapted Jane Eyre for the stage. Website.
Max Herzfeld (HAMLET) is an actor and voice over artist. He can be heard in numerous games and animation projects.
Kathleen Turco-Lyon (GERTRUDE) has worked off-B’way and regionally, at theaters from Maine to California, and is a member of The Actors Center in New York City. She has taught actors both independently and on the university level. She has won awards for performances in August: Osage County and Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Website.
