Our group will be working on two scenes: Act 1, Scene 1 – where Baptista announces that Bianca cannot marry until Katherine does – and Act 2, Scene 1 – Katherine’s wedding is arranged and Bianca’s suitors vie for her hand.

Artist Bios – folks coming from New York, LA, Oregon and more!
Terri McMahon (DIRECTOR) is an actor, voiceover artist, and director. She has directed plays at American Players Theatre, as well as the Santa Cruz, Arabian, and Island Shakespeare Festivals. Terri has been an actress at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for over 25 years. She cut her teeth adapting many of Shakespeare’s plays to forty-minute, two-person school visit program shows for OSF’s extensive educational program. Website
Cathleen Sheehan (DRAMATURG) is a writer, lecturer and teacher who teaches Shakespeare and Advanced Shakespeare (among other courses) at the Urban School in San Francisco. She has served as a dramaturg for Marin Shakespeare and for California Shakespeare Theater. She holds an AB and MA in English Literature from Stanford University and pursued graduate studies in Victoria Literature at Oxford University.
Casey McKinnon (KATHERINE) is an actress and producer born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Best known for her extensive web series career, she has produced and starred in four streaming series. She is an ambassador for The Chimaera Project, and developed and launched SUPPORT.HER, a mentorship program empowering women and non-binary filmmakers. Website
Joe Holt (HORTENSIO / PETRUCHIO) is an actor with TV roles on Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Wife, Franklin and Bash, and Supernatural. LA Theatre includes Macbeth at Antaeus, We Are Proud to Present… at The Matrix, Nine Circles at The Bootleg Theatre, and The Pain and the Itch at The Zephyr. He also wrote, produced, directed, and acted in Noël, which was distributed on ShortsHD.
Paul Bernardo (BAPTISTA) has worked extensively in regional theater and has appeared in numerous industrials and commercials as well as independent and feature films. For Orlando Shakespeare, he has played Brutus twice, Claudius, Polixenes, Antigonus, Duke Vincentio, and Banquo. Paul also received his MFA from The Academy of Classical Actingand is a founding member of the Upstart Creatures theater company in NYC.
Liisa Ivary (GREMIO) – yes, 2 i’s, it’s Finnish – is a classically trained actor, director and choreographer who has extensive voice over credits, and she holds an MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. She has spent multiple seasons as an actor at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Arizona Theatre Company, Missouri Rep, and the Utah, Colorado and Alabama Shakespeare Festivals. Website
Trevyn Wong (BIANCA / TRANIO) is a Queer, Asian Artist and recent BFA graduate from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In his senior year, he portrayed the role of Mozart in Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus. Out of school, he landed at American Players Theatre. His next chapter takes him to New York City. Website
