Our group will be working on the FAMOUS “balcony scene”: Act 2, Scene 2 – where Romeo overhears Juliet express her love for him and then he answers her.

Artist Bios – folks coming from Hawaii, New York, and SoCal!

Nick Cagle (DIRECTOR) began his career at 11 when he was cast in his first professional stage play at The Laguna Playhouse, and soon after, he began to work in television and film. He trained at The Boston Conservatory and at LAMDA. After graduating he landed roles on MTV, HBO and with SONY Online Entertainment and performed at multiple regional theaters in California.

Gideon Rappaport (DRAMATURG) is San Diego’s premiere Shakespearean dramaturg; he has worked as an English, humanities and Shakespeare teacher in high school, college, graduate school and professional theater. He earned his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English and American literature at Brandeis University. He is the author of the book Appreciating Shakespeare and host of a podcast under the same name.

Juls Hoover (ROMEO) studied at San Diego State University, majoring in both Theater and Psychology, and also trained at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford. She also works as a Yoga Teacher while attending graduate school to obtain a Masters in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Addiction Medicine.

Erika Rolfsrud (JULIET) has appeared on Broadway in The Coast of Utopia, Rabbit Hole, and Exit The King. She has appeared Off-Broadway and in regional theatre. In films, Erika has appeared in Alone and Dream Date, and in television she has appeared in Law & Order, Third Watch, All My Children, and As The World Turns. She has an MFA from Old Globe Theatre/USD.
