What actors are saying…
“It was so enlightening to working with Susan on Lady Macbeth. She opened up complexities to Lady M I hadn’t considered, and to the language in a hands-on and tangible way that can be accessed for anyone desiring to deepen and expand their connection with her character.”
Tara BoppNew York City
“This was revelatory. Previous to working with Susan, I’d only looked at Lady Macbeth through the lens of her blood thirsty ambition for status and power, and her subsequent inability to deal with the consequences. But that was a gross and cartoonish characterization; now I see the woman in all her dimensions.”
Jeff LeBeauLos Angeles
Lady Macbeth is one of the most revered and feared female characters in Shakespeare’s canon.
She often gets a bad name, or is summarized as purely seductive or evil. But like all Shakespeare’s female characters, she is multi-dimensional: passionate, complex, intelligent, full of boldness as well as fragility. She has hopes, dreams, fears and losses.
She is ultimately incredibly human. A careful examination of the text certainly provides some answers, but because of the play’s brilliance, it also opens up question after question that set the actor on a fascinating journey of discovery.
What you’ll cover with Susan:
Session #1: Historical Context
The origins of Macbeth: source material, elements of the supernatural, and 11th century Scotland
Session #2: The Marriage
The relationship of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth: the hopes, the dreams, the history.
Session #3: Sleep & Madness
The demise of Lady Macbeth: how her mind is shaped by his, and his by hers, and when they veer away from one another.
And remember: you’re not just learning theory—this all comes from someone who’s been there and done the work. Night after night.

You may be asking…
Why does this cost more than a usual acting class? +
You’re receiving much more individual attention and focus than you would in a normal class; there’s no waiting your turn to act—you’re always in the scene!
Plus, instead of watching other actors do scenes for the majority of class time, the instructor is spending more time in discussion and teaching, sharing valuable and real-world lessons learned from actually playing the role professionally.
PS: Don’t miss out on becoming a GREAT actor that people take notice of! Increase your skills, confidence, and network while working at a PROFESSIONAL level!
